What does this mean?

We have our Class B General Contractors License from the Contractors State Licensing Board of the State of California. Our contractor license number is 695885. Ram Development has been licensed since September 13, 1994 and before receiving the necessary qualifications had 14 years experience. This means, over 40 years of experience and expertise goes into your project!

Why is this important?

Having a license by the state of California means that Ram Development is qualified to do the work under the umbrella of a Class B General Contractors License and has passed the government requirements to do so. 

Unfortunately in this line of business, it is not uncommon for contractors to advertise that they are "licensed" only to have a business license (if they even have that), not a contracting license. Unsuspecting clients hire these companies based on false facts. The two licenses are very different and should be recognized as such.

What is a General Contractor able to do?

The Business and Professions Code (BPC) defines a General Building contractor as someone whose principal contracting business is in connection with “any structure built, being built, or to be built for the support, shelter, and enclosure of persons, animals, chattels or movable property of any kind.
